I picked up these gorgeous timber and fabric frames for half price from Flower Power’s home wares department for my 2 year old son’s room a few months ago.
I found these really old Little Golden books at a second hand market. I was going to horde them, but upon closer inspection I noticed they had some pen marks and ripped pages, so I thought the kids might like them. But they have so many books, they just got put on the shelf with the rest. So …
I was having a look through them tonight and decided there must be some cute pictures in them that I could put in those empty frames. I chose “The Animals of Farmer Jones”. This gorgeous book had some great animal pictures. And the book was published in 1973, making it almost 40 years old!
I tore them out of the book. And yes I felt terribly guilty for destroying a book. But I like to think of it as recycling. 🙂 I measured them for the correct sizes and then cut them out.
They turned out perfect.
