Hubby’s First Roadside Rescue

  1. Oh that's hilarious. Here in NZ we have inorganic collection once a year. My hubby likes nothing better than to drive around looking at everyone's discarded stuff – the kids and I? Well we keep our heads down while sliding off our seats!!!!!Hoping against hope that no-one we know see's him!
And if I see something I want then I wait for the cloud of darkness before commando crawling out the car door in camo gear….

How damaged is the top? Could you sand it down and fill in the cracks with wood filler? Or would it be easier to rebuild a new top?

  2. Such a great story! Way to go Hubby – and welcome to the pack!

I agree with Natalie on how to fix the top. That would probably be your best bet. If that doesn't work, maybe you could decoupage over it – some newspapers or old book pages? You could even rub a little stain on them to make it look “vintage”…

Love your blog – I'm your newest follower (found you on Here's to Handy Andy). Would love for you to come by for a visit!
