Welcome to my Christmas 2013 Lounge Room Tour!
Adjoining my Dining Room (Christmas Dining Room Tour here) is my lounge room.
Let’s jingle round the room together. 🙂
When you first enter my Lounge Room you are greeted my shabby white round coffee table.
And right in the centre the coffee table is the super duper cutest little Christmas tree ever! I bought this from Bed Bath n’ Table yesterday for 30%. It was love at first sight. Isn’t that droopy top branch just beyond adorable!
If you look past the lounge to the back wall is my work desk that hubby built.
And next to that is our Christmas tree!
I had decorated the tree in silver and gold this year, but have since restyled it to be all gold and I love it whole lot more. 🙂 It feels so much more warm and inviting. Behind the tree I stung my burlap Christmas bunting that I made last year.
I made the 3D cardboard stars. And newly purchased the gold baubles, gold bead garland and gold ribbon to wrap around the tree.
On either side I placed my two desk chairs (as I had no where else to put them). They actually work well to hold and display some of the presents. The tree I placed up on our white wooden trunk to give it some more height, and because I needed somewhere to put the trunk. 🙂 The tree base I placed in a white cane basket and padded it with fake snow.
I was really stuck for a tree topper until I saw an idea to make a scrunched up burlap blow sort of topper and it works perfectly. 🙂
Now on to my work desk which is more of a Christmasy display table now. 🙂
I stored some of my chest underneath and decided to make my own Christmas wall art. I used my entryway chalkboard to create a jingle bell tree. And next to it I printed a reindeer print and stuck it to the existing framed burlap. And above all this I printed off a vintage music sheet of Jingle Bells and framed it.
On the tabletop I added some candles and my vintage lantern. A sprig of Holly was added to my flower arrangement.
On the other side of the table I added more candles and a cloche containing shiny gold baubles. I also added my shabby white metal bird cage decorated with a glittery “Joy” decoration.
This is the view looking back towards the entryway which encompasses the TV and TV side cabinet on one side, and my lounge and two lounge side tables on the other.
I purchased the silver Merry Christmas sign in front of the TV (before I was leaning towards a gold colour scheme).
And on the TV side cabinet I added my Rustic DIY Merry Christmas sign.
Teamed with some pinecones and a large candle. And that cute little porcelain angel which was also a recent purchase at Bed Bath n’ Table for 30% off.
On the left side of my white Ikea Ektorp sofa is my vintage nesting tables Numbered 2 & 3.
On top is my sparkly gold Christmas Tree ornament purchased on sale last year.
I love how the tree is made up of criss-crossed string. The white styrofoam ball garland is something I made this year and was the perfect addition.
On the left of my lounge is my number 1 nesting table.
I added an old milk bottle with sprigs of Holly and a gold spray in the centre.
An the lamp is a recent garage sale score.
And that concludes my Lounge Room Christmas Tour. I’m still working on a few more Christmasy additions like some Christmasy cushions for the lounge, but I’ll share them a bit later.
Thanks for joining me on my tour. I’ll shortly be doing a house wrap up post with a few extra Christmasy additions throughout the rest of the house so stay tuned!
